Melanie + James are just too cute for words.
I continue to be humbled everyday by the sweet words from our clients and from others. Melanie was so excited to work with both of us, and the feeling was totally mutual. :D We love love love it when clients are so excited about their wedding and trust us to capture it in print!
Melanie’s personality and smile is totally infectious and she was so excited and bouncing up and down the whole time during the shoot. James is more reserved and is such a great guy, he totally balances out their happy duo in every way, and together, they are totally made for each other. :D

Let’s start this out with a favorite, shall we? :D

We started out at Maclay Gardens in Tallahassee. One of the most awesome-totally-rad things about our clients is that they trust us implicitly. It had just rained that day, and I brought along my wellies {just in case} we had to trek through any mud. We came upon spot where it was almost totally marsh, and Melanie + James didn’t bat an eye when I asked them to lay down in the mud (of course, we had plastic bags to put beneath them so they wouldn’t get all muddy. Genius, right?

FREEWEDDING

No, you’re not senile. Ya’ll heard it right.

After all the fun blog love we have had this week, Michael + I are just full of love right now and we have decided to offer A FREE WEDDING PACKAGE to one very lucky couple! :D

We have been so blessed over the past few years and we just want to take the opportunity to give something back and do something really nice for others. Your wedding day is your chance to shine, and we want to be a part of that with you. ;)

{in order to qualify, there are a few details!}
- Tell us your story! [my favorite!]
- Include a photo of yourself + your fiance in your submission.
- The wedding must be taking place in 2010 or 2011
- The wedding may be anywhere in the whole wide world but you must be willing to cover our travel (after all, we still need a way to get there + a warm bed to sleep in after your kick booty wedding!)
- You must submit a wedding inspiration board with images of ideas that you are going to be incorporating into your wedding. It can be as elaborate as you like, and list out the colors of your wedding.

Pretty simple, huh? Yep. :D

Entries will be judged by both Michael + I, and we will be reading each and every one personally. We will be judging the contest based on your story, creativity of wedding concept and inspiration board submitted, and our availability on your wedding date (ex: 2010 is booking quickly, so if your date is already booked, we will notify you via email.)

We will be accepting submissions beginning today and until 12-15-09, announcing the big winner the week before Christmas (How’s THAT for a great Christmas present?! :D )

Ok so here’s the {fine print}:
- The wedding package will include 6 continuous hours of coverage, + a high res disc of images (YAY!) + a fun engagement session!
- Travel expenses will be determined based on the location of the wedding and will include flight and/or rental car, hotel, and meals.
- The contest only applies to submissions received beginning at noon today thru December 15, 2009. If you have already booked a wedding or inquired prior to 11-12-09, entries can not be considered in fairness.
- Entry will not be considered if all the above requirements for submissions are not sent in.

We cannot WAIT to start getting your submissions! BRING IT!

{one for the money, two for the show}

We simply cannot wait for May. Because we get to see our friends Sonya + Hester and shoot their what-i’m-sure-is-going-to-be-a-PARTAY wedding!

You have probably heard me say this before, but one of the best parts about my job is that we get to out with people who are in love and are just fun to be around. This only minutely describes Sonya + Hester. The first time that Sonya and I talked on the phone, we just clicked and I knew that she was someone that I would have as a lifelong friend.

And when we met them at our Atlanta hotel, Michael + I both knew that we were going to have a great time because both Sonya + Hester were down for anything we did.After trekking all over Piedmont Park, we headed into downtown ATL for some awesome Italian food, vino, and good conversation. It was SO FUN getting to know these two. :D

You guys, we love ya’ll. We are so excited for the wedding and we MUST hang out again before then! (we have a vacant room, come stay with us!!) :D

Sonya + Hester share a love of music and they met at a concert at the Fox Theatre, and since our hotel was right across the street, we had to stop there first!
The one above and below were taken in a parking lot. Just goes to show, we rock it out anywhere! Just kidding. Ok, i’ll go eat some humble pie now. ;)

We’re in “Hot-lanta” (Atlanta, and yes, saying that makes me think I am SO much cooler than I actually am… :D ) for Hester + Sonya’s loveshoot, and let me tell you, they are so awesome and we just adore them! We have new friends! :D :D :D

Isn’t One Water Place beautiful? We had an audience- some of the residents were out on their balconies enjoying the view (and watching our shoot!) Probably because Heather + Tyler are ridiculously good looking ;)

Yesterday, Michael + I FINALLY :D got to hang out with Heather + Tyler for their awesome engagement shoot in Destin!

We were supposed to get together last weekend, but got rained out and had to reschedule. :(

A little back story, Heather + I both went to Rocky Bayou Christian School for many years together, but then sadly, we lost touch when she moved and I changed schools. I was so excited when we reconnected on Facebook and when she told me that she was getting married, we were so thrilled when she asked us to shoot the wedding! :) :) :)

Heather + Tyler, we just love you guys. You are MADE for each other and we cannot wait for the wedding (and all the things we talked about heehee!)

The whole post is coming soon but you’ll just have to settle for this little bit for now ;)

Oh Etsy. I don’t even know how to describe how much I love you. :D

The most appropriate way to describe my relationship with Etsy’s website is such: have you ever seen the movie “10 Things I Hate About You”? Well, in one part of the movie a girl is describing her love for Shakespeare, and she aptly puts it as “We’re INVOLVED”.

Yep, that’s pretty much how I feel about Etsy**. ;)

When I have a spare moment to myself, when i’m not shooting, editing, or blogging about shooting or editing (:)), i’m surfing Etsy.

It’s finally here!!! :D

The insanely talented Kat Small of Cinema Chic films produced and directed this new video for our website!

We are so proud of it and we think that our clients will love being able to get a little idea of what it is like to work with us before booking us for their weddings. ;)
