Wow! Wow, wow, wowie. When I arrived at Laura + Ben’s wedding, my jaw was on the ground with all the beautiful details that went into this extra special day. :) Not only was I in awe of off the loveliness of this wedding, but I couldn’t help but think how perfect Ben + Laura are for each other! Well, except for one little thing… Ben is a Gator fan and Laura is a Seminole fan! (I have to throw my 2 cents in here… GO NOLES!!! HAHA, Hey Laura, this may be why we get along so great! :D ) I told Ben I could forgive him for being a Gator, but I had a feeling that we were well outnumbered since Ben’s brother Danny played QB for the Gators! I have a feeling though that they won’t be a “house divided” though, as this truly was a union that was centered in Christ’s love. Thank you Laura + Ben for inviting us to be a part of your day, I know Michael was sorry he missed this one- but my Mom and I had a blast hanging out with you and your wonderful family!

Our heartfelt {thanks} go out to all those who made Ben + Laura’s day so special!

Katie + Brian came all the way from Arizona for their wedding! Katie + I instantly clicked the first time we chatted over the phone about her wedding day, and I knew it was going to be so much fun working with this couple! Katie has got a million dollar smile and is gorgeous to boot; Brian is sophisticated and has a great laugh… together they are a perfect match! I hope you guys had a great time touring Europe (how JEALOUS am I?!?! :D ) and we wish you both all the best in the world!

We have been waiting for this wedding for months. Ever since Ginny first contacted me early last year, I knew that we were going to have a friendship that would be unlike any other. We talked about all the details of her wedding, all about Jack- the love of her life, and how excited she was to be marrying him. It wasn’t until we met Jack that I knew exactly what Ginny was talking about- it was so evident in the way he looked at her- how much he loved her and how right they are for each other.

The wedding day started out like any other- with the fresh excitement and energy that comes with every wedding. As Ginny sat getting her makeup done, we looked out at the sky and saw what appeared to be rain clouds rolling in. Ginny had planned on having a ceremony on the beach, and after some discussion with Tammy from the Eventful Planner, the decision was made to move the ceremony inside Jack + Ginny’s condo.

I can honestly say that it was the best decision ever made. The ceremony was so sweet and heartfelt, and was totally intimate as Ginny + Jack made their commitment to love each other, everyday, for the rest of their lives. Michael + I were so humbled to be a part of the wedding and we loved being able to spend time with such a loving couple and welcoming family. The best compliment we could receive was when Ginny told me that we were like family, and I couldn’t agree more.

Congratulations to such a beautiful couple, we love ya’ll very much.

And something I haven’t done in awhile- a slideshow. I get teary eyed everytime I watch it. :)

For those of you who have never been to the South, we have a saying down here, “Lasseiz les bons temps rouler”, which translates to “Let the good times roll!” And the good times were in plentiful supply for Emily + Jeff’s wedding at the Emerald Grande last month (happy 1 month + 1 day anniversary ya’ll! :D )

Emily + Jeff came all the way from Louisiana (oh yeah, a lot of southerners pronounce it as “loo-see-anna”, and yes, I had to spell check this a couple times just make sure I didn’t leave out an “I”… Paula Deen would be so proud) :) for their wedding and we could not have been more excited to spend the day with this incredibly sweet couple.

Emily + Jeff, thank you so much for hanging out with us and humoring me on all my ridiculous ideas (“hey Jeff, pick Emily up and swing her around on the 2 foot wide dock WITHOUT losing your balance!”)

Melinda + Terrence are two of the kindest, most genuine people I know. We had not had the pleasure of meeting them prior to the wedding day, but as soon as we arrived at the home of Terrence’s family, they welcomed us with open arms. The wedding was held on an amazingly beautiful day in Destin, Florida, and we could not have been more pleased with the results. Melinda + Terrence, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to work with you on your wedding, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

Whew….Over the last 3 weeks, we have photographed 4 weddings, 2 loveshoots, 3 portraits… and a partridge in a pear tree! Needless to say, we have been on the move constantly and I wanted to show you a little peek at what is come over the next couple weeks once all the madness from May’s weddings slow down! :D

First up is Melinda + Terrence’s backyard wedding in Destin Florida. Everything about this simple wedding was charming and I am excited to post these images. :)

Next up, Emily + Jeff’s wedding at the Emerald Grande in Destin! They came all the way from Loo-see-anna ;) for their wedding, and you KNOW we added some cajun flair.

Moving right along to Ginny+Jack’s Seagrove beach wedding. You might remember them from their loveshoot? Oh yes. :D Bad weather forced this wedding inside but it didn’t put a damper on our plans, love everything about this one.

The next day we shot Christine + Matt’s adorable loveshoot, and this one will be coming to you in TWO PARTS! Christine + Matt were our free wedding winners for the year and after Christine + I have been conspiring on all the details of the wedding, it’s sure to be a dilly! :D

Part I:

And then Part II, I’m am SO RIDICULOUSLY excited about this shoot, well…. you’ll just have to see for yourself.

And last but certainly not least, Katie + Brian’s wedding in Palm Coast. This couple was so amazingly sweet and fun to hang out with! Here’s a little taste:

Wow. I’m exhausted. ;) See? Lots to come. :D

Thank you so much to one of our FAVORITE wedding blogs, Completely Unveiled, for showcasing Megan + Wade’s fantastic wedding! We love getting Kirstin’s sweet little email letting us know that our feature is up, she is wonderful and and her posts on the blog just make me smile :D

Hey Kirstin- if the whole Weddings Unveiled gig thing doesn’t work out (haha yeah RIGHT! It’s only one of the coolest jobs imaginable! ;) ) you can come design blog collages for me! :D

Oh. my. gosh. Jessica + Mat’s wedding day was an absolutely perfect day in every sense of the word. Their wedding day was a celebration of the complete adoration they have for one another. Pair the unreal setting at the Stewart House in Tallahassee with a couple who both have incredible families, incredible friends … an incredible passion for life. I am so, so grateful that I was able to capture this incredible day … walked away from this wedding more thankful than ever for the gift of getting to celebrate with couples as they begin their life together! Jessica + Mat, congratulations to you both… XOXO!

Really, i’m not a writer. It’s why i’m a photographer ;) So when I started to write this post, I was just sitting here for an hour trying to figure out what to say about this AMAZING joining of souls. For this post, I am starting something different. Instead of trying to verbalize what I feel, I decided to let the images speak for themselves. I hope you feel the same way I do after looking at them. ;)

But seriously, there aren’t many words to describe how awesome Lesley + Josh’s wedding was. Lots of laughter, joyful tears, gorgeous sunshine and drinks for the house. :)

Lesley + Josh, you have been a blast to work with from the word “go”. We enjoyed every second that we got to spend with you and we cannot wait to be a part of the many chapters of your life together.

Thank you for giving us this opportunity to document your life and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your selfless service to our country. :)

That was definitely the mantra for Megan + Wade’s sweet Sunday wedding at Amelia Island Plantation. :D

Saturday, Michael + I were PRAYING for weather as gorgeous of this day… it had been storming all day and the weather man called for more rain on Sunday… 80% chance, in fact. I tweeted about it, Facebooked hourly updates, and when we left our house on Sunday morning, it wasn’t looking too promising. We were prepared to bring out our galoshes, but when we arrived at Amelia Island, the sun was shining bright and we had some beautiful blue skies. Thank you God!

I have to admit- I was a little nervous when we arrived. Usually, we get to meet with a bride at least once before her wedding, but we had never had a chance to meet Megan before today because we were never able to coordinate our schedules! From the time I first talked to Megan, I knew we would begreat friends, but it’s always a little nerve wracking meeting someone for the first time.

When we walked in, Megan immediately gave us both a hug and her family was so warm and welcoming, we really did feel like we were a part of the family. :D

Megan + Wade, we had so much fun capturing the pure joy and love surrounding your wedding day, and thank you so much for inviting us into your lives! We had fun and we will see each other again soon! ;)

See what I mean by GORGEOUS day?

Megan was one of the calmest brides I have ever met.

Megan was so excited and joyful all day!

Alright, little side story here. Michael was out in the garage with the bridesmaids (that sounds funny, huh? ;) ) and we noticed that these pool were sitting here together… they weren’t turned exactly all the right way, but the wedding date was 1-17-10. Coincidence? ;)

LOVED Megan’s choice of colors… so beautiful! All the girls looked great!

Holy hotness Batman. Megan, have I mentioned that you are STUNNING?!?!

YAY for this!! I knew when I took it that it was going to be one of my favorites of the day! :D There was just a slight breeze… ok it was winnnnnnnnndddddddyyyyyyyy!

Drumroll please! I give you, Wade!

Wade’s one and only request was to get “spatted” up. Sounds dirty, right? :) Since Megan + Wade are HUGE Auburn fans, all the guys had to get spatted up before the big day. I even got spatted. It was pretty fantastic. I rock the spat pretty well. :D

Hey, you gotta have priorities.

Sam AKA Stevie Wonder. :)

And most importantly, make sure we zip the fly.

I think i’ve said this before, but I truly loved every detail of this wedding, the sweet simplicity of it really  was so lovely.

The church was awesome, I loved the little white chapel feel.

SHOWTIME!

Ok, I love everything about this image. Megan’s dad was very emotional and I just happened to catch this one right after he gave his daughter’s hand to Wade. I love the way he is looking at his daughter, it makes me very emotional and reminiscent of our wedding.

Megan + Wade held communion for all their guests, it was so powerful to see everyone worshiping and praising God at their union!

MARRIED!

It got dark QUICK. And I mean in-a-hurry. We did not anticipate it getting dark so quickly, but of course we had to squuueeeezzzzeee in some lovey dovey time. Hopefully we’ll be doing some more portraits of these two soon, but for now, this will just have to wet your appetite. :D

Love love love.

Walker’s Landing at Amelia Island is so beautiful and rustic and Megan decided to have very natural details, which I loved.

Congratulations Megan + Wade!! We love ya’ll!
