{the big day} ginny + jack • seagrove beach, fl

We have been waiting for this wedding for months. Ever since Ginny first contacted me early last year, I knew that we were going to have a friendship that would be unlike any other. We talked about all the details of her wedding, all about Jack- the love of her life, and how excited she was to be marrying him. It wasn’t until we met Jack that I knew exactly what Ginny was talking about- it was so evident in the way he looked at her- how much he loved her and how right they are for each other.

The wedding day started out like any other- with the fresh excitement and energy that comes with every wedding. As Ginny sat getting her makeup done, we looked out at the sky and saw what appeared to be rain clouds rolling in. Ginny had planned on having a ceremony on the beach, and after some discussion with Tammy from the Eventful Planner, the decision was made to move the ceremony inside Jack + Ginny’s condo.

I can honestly say that it was the best decision ever made. The ceremony was so sweet and heartfelt, and was totally intimate as Ginny + Jack made their commitment to love each other, everyday, for the rest of their lives. Michael + I were so humbled to be a part of the wedding and we loved being able to spend time with such a loving couple and welcoming family. The best compliment we could receive was when Ginny told me that we were like family, and I couldn’t agree more.

Congratulations to such a beautiful couple, we love ya’ll very much.

And something I haven’t done in awhile- a slideshow. I get teary eyed everytime I watch it.

{bust a move}

Whew….Over the last 3 weeks, we have photographed 4 weddings, 2 loveshoots, 3 portraits… and a partridge in a pear tree! Needless to say, we have been on the move constantly and I wanted to show you a little peek at what is come over the next couple weeks once all the madness from May’s weddings slow down!

First up is Melinda + Terrence’s backyard wedding in Destin Florida. Everything about this simple wedding was charming and I am excited to post these images.

Next up, Emily + Jeff’s wedding at the Emerald Grande in Destin! They came all the way from Loo-see-anna for their wedding, and you KNOW we added some cajun flair.

Moving right along to Ginny+Jack’s Seagrove beach wedding. You might remember them from their loveshoot? Oh yes. Bad weather forced this wedding inside but it didn’t put a damper on our plans, love everything about this one.

The next day we shot Christine + Matt’s adorable loveshoot, and this one will be coming to you in TWO PARTS! Christine + Matt were our free wedding winners for the year and after Christine + I have been conspiring on all the details of the wedding, it’s sure to be a dilly!

And then Part II, I’m am SO RIDICULOUSLY excited about this shoot, well…. you’ll just have to see for yourself.

And last but certainly not least, Katie + Brian’s wedding in Palm Coast. This couple was so amazingly sweet and fun to hang out with! Here’s a little taste:

On October 17, we had a cold snap. Actually, one could say that we a had a cold AND wind snap. It was a very chilly 50 degrees (what can I say? I’m a Florida girl! That’s COLD!!!) when Michael + I left the house to shoot Heather + Tyler’s AWESOME wedding in Destin, and we kept assuring each other that “it will warm up once we are on the beach”.

Not so much. As a matter of fact, it got colder… and windy-er.

The cold was not going to put a damper on our mood or on how ridiculously cool Heather + Tyler are (no pun intended) . I cannot say enough about this wedding and how much we enjoyed being a part of it. From day one, both Heather + Tyler have made us feel like a part of their families and we felt completely comfortable and welcomed by all.

Heather + Tyler are meant for each other. It just radiates out of every part of them. We are so thrilled and honored to be a part of your lives and thank you for being our friends. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Renee of Two Fishes Artistry did an amazing job on Heather’s makeup, she is absolutely WONDERFUL and I adore her.

This is easily one of my favorites of the day. Aren’t they sweet?
