More from Elizabeth and Richard. I just adore these two.

Every morning I have a little ritual. I get up, flip on the computer, and go over to my Google Reader. If you haven’t had a chance to try this out yet, you should, it’s where I bookmark all my favorite blogs and I can see what’s new in 1 click!
Yes, yes, I know. I’m addicted to blogs. One of those blogs is the Wedding Chicks!
Amy and Jocey, aka the brains behind the operation, have created a fabulous website for ultra stylish brides. It has tips for planning your wedding, fabulous color schemes and examples, and vendor spotlights!
Anyway, back to the story. I checked my Google Reader after being gone all weekend for another fabulous wedding (which I will be posting a sneak peek from soon) and I was glad to see new posts from Amy and Jocey. I began reading through them, when lo and behold, I was there!!!
Lizzie and Jesse’s GORGEOUS eco-friendly wedding was featured on the site! ![]()
Go check it out!
Head on over to the Wedding Chicks if you’re in need of some serious eyecandy!
Thanks Amy and Jocey! Looking forward to many, many more features with you!
Blessings,
♥

Before we get into the images, I have some BIG news that I must tell you all! My fabulous husband and best friend in the whole world, Michael, has become my photographic partner in crime (literally- but more on that later!) That’s right folks; we are now a husband and wife team! Michael had assisted me on some shoots in the past and I noticed that he had an eye for composition immediately. He just SEES things- he can see things from different angles that I might have missed if he were not there. I knew he was talented, and I told everyone that he was holding out on me.
We had just talked about becoming partners in the past year, and finally I decided to put a camera in his hand and let him fire away. I loved the results. Seriously guys, he could definitely give me a run on some of the stuff he shot!
So, Michael and I will now be shooting most weddings and portraits together. I am so excited to be able to show you both of our perspectives from shooting. This is such a huge thing for both of us, and we are so excited to see what the Lord brings to our lives and through our business as we make this transition to the next chapter. I love you, Michael.
Now, onto the real reason for this blog post.
Dan and Rachelle are two of our very best friends. We go WAY back to when we first met at our old apartment complex in Tallahassee, when we lived in the building right next door to each other. Michael was outside one afternoon walking our dog, and Dan was also out walking their dog. Our dogs hit it off (haha!) and Michael and Dan stood talking for over an hour. Dan invited us to their church and at first, I am ashamed to admit it; but Michael and I had both been struggling spiritually with different things in our life and questioning our faith. We had been trying out different churches in the area, but never did we find one that we felt we were really comfortable in. That Sunday, we decided to go with Dan and Rachelle to church.
I remember that day very well. Pastor Ray seemed to speak directly to us and our struggles, and that day, the Lord burdened my heart so much that I could almost not bear it. During invitation, I began to cry almost uncontrollably. Rachelle and I had become friends; but that day, she reached over and grabbed my hand, and we went up to the front of the church together. I was finally able to let go of all the hurt and feelings of insecurity that I had been holding onto for so long. Rachelle, I don’t know if I ever thanked you for that. God sent you both into our lives right when we needed it. I have come to realize that His timing is absolutely perfect, and that His blessings just continue to flow down. Because of you and Dan, Michael and I have finally come to feel like we really belong somewhere.
Dan and Rachelle have been an ever constant source of love and support for us, and you both mean so much more to us than you will ever know.
We had been trying to plan this “anytime” session for weeks and it seemed that something always came up! The first weekend we tried to do this, I came down with the flu! The next weekend, both of us were unavailable and then the following weekend, it rained all day both Saturday and Sunday. When we FINALLY got around to shooting, God blessed us with some truly beautiful weather. 65 degrees and gorgeous sunshine all the way baby!

Something about this series just makes my heart smile.

They were super stylish. You know I was loving it!

side story: thanks to my fabulous husband who let me sit on his shoulders on the middle of the busy highway for this one, and for all the passerbys who probably was thinking I was crazy!

thanks Deanna + Sheri! See you in April!

I met up with Deanna and Sheri in Carillon Beach this past weekend! They totally rocked out and we had some gorgeous weather to boot!
Here is a little teaser from our session. Full post coming stat!

Apologies for the lack of blogging this week. Things have been pretty nuts around here, I am still trying to recover from Valentine’s Day and my birthday; and I have had a wedding to finish up editing; getting ready for Deanna and Sheri’s fabulous session tomorrow at beautiful Carillon beach, and then onto Lizzie and Jesse’s wedding next weekend!
So be patient with me, lots of cool new images in the next couple weeks!
Cheers and God Bless,
Lauren ♥
I’ll let this speak for itself.
I saw this in church this morning. It really spoke to my heart, and I wanted to share it with you all. You know, I debate a lot of times about what is “too personal” to share with other people on this blog. I think everyone has very different views on whether or not we should use our blogs as just a tool to connect with our readers. But in my case, I want to connect with those that I serve on a personal level. I really don’t want to be just someone that spends a few days with you; I want to have a deep, lasting friendship.
So this is what is on my heart right now. Good, bad, or indifferent, this is who I am. I vow to share it all with you. I know I might lose some along the way (and I have), but my hope is that it will draw some of us closer.
I have been dealing with some really horrible things in my life that I have been trying to cope with as of late. Feelings of doubt, insecurity, worries of things beyond my control. Yet today, when I saw this video, somehow I felt released of all of what I was hanging onto. I am simply letting it all go.
We are all so blessed. Sometimes we get caught up in all the little worries, hurts, frustrations, and whatever else may be going on in our lives. But the truth is, if we give it all over to God, and say “Lord, this is too much of a burden for me to bear”, then he renews our soul and gives us joy unspeakable. This is my prayer for every one of you today…
That you will have “joy, unspeakable.”
Blessings,
Lauren
Remember Angela + Ted? I shot their BEAUTIFUL beach wedding back in November of last year, and I am just getting ready to place a sample album order for the LKP studio! I just love this album, it is absolutely gorgeous!
This album was a little different in the design process. I wanted to try my hand at designing something unique, so I designed an 8×20 album. So it’s super skinny when it’s closed, but when you open it, the full spread opens to an awesome 16×20!
Check out the slideshow below.
Thanks Angie + Ted! You’re wedding was stunning and I hope you love the album design!

Robin and Titus and I go back many many months ago when they were in the super early stages of planning their wedding! I just knew that day when I first met them that we were going to become great friends.
We quickly started planning their engagement session and we had a great time running all over downtown Tallahassee and FSU when they were both working for FSU Athletics.
They were married this past Saturday, and I was so honored to be there to witness how much love they share for each other and their family and friends. Robin and Titus, thank you for welcoming me into your lives. I look forward to seeing your love continue to grow and flourish in the coming years.

We started out the day at Athena Salon and Spa in Tallahassee. I just love that place! They use all natural Aveda products and they smell so yummy!

See what I mean? Getting beautified! ![]()

LOVE THIS!

Robin, you are stunning.

Then it was off to the church. Good Shepherd Catholic Church was gorgeous and had some great details, which you will see below.

The reception was held at FSU’s University Center Club and it is absolutely one of my favorite places to shoot.

Cakes were done by the fabulous Katie of Katie’s Cakes and Catering. How gorgeous?

Titus and Robin are HUGE baseball fans and this was seriously the coolest cake I have ever seen! Katie did a fabulous job.

My awesome second shooter Lisa and I pulled Robin and Titus for a little lovey dovey time. I saw this on the back of the camera and squealed “pure magic!!!”

God’s light. ![]()

Then it was time to get down on it! Night Breeze band was ROCKING! Seriously, for my brides out there looking for a great band, book them! They are AWESOME!

Robin and Titus, you were a joy to work with! I hope you had a great time on your cruise, call me soon, I want to hear all about it! ![]()

One has to wonder what the heck I am doing up at 1:33 in the morning. It could be because I have been sick and feeling like death warmed over the past week. Or it could be…worrying mostly. There is a flurry of things going through my mind right now, some things I can’t say just yet. It’s freezing in my office and I can’t feel my toes. Annnnyway i’m sure that you all have had those sleepless nights too.
Well, i’m off to watch I Love Lucy and hopefully drift off to sleep.
And since no post without a picture is worth even posting, here is one from Robin and Titus’ engagement session I shot a few months back. They are getting married this weekend!!

Goodnight lovely blog readers.
