{Lesley + Josh}

Welcome back readers! Did ya’ll have a nice Christmas? I hope so!
After a nice long holiday, it’s time to resume my regular blog schedule ;)
It’s the first post of 2010! First up is Lesley + Josh, they are getting married in February and Michael + I couldn’t be more excited to shoot their wedding. You know when you first meet someone and you just “click”? That’s exactly how it was with Lesley + Josh. They are too cute for words. We must have laughed through the whole session. :D See for yourself!

FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!

We found this funky shop right across the street from where we were shooting, and being the {law abiding citizen most of the time that I am} I went in to ask the shop owner if we could shoot in front of his shop! He said we could, so this is what happened…
LKP_LJ0019

Yes, yes it did. :D :D

After we finished up at the shop, we headed across the street to this alley way, and then the police showed up… we thought we were busted!

But as it turns out, they could care less and let us play for a few minutes. :D Another favorite.

Lesley + Josh are both in the military so they brought their dress blues. Heck yes!

I suggested they salute each other- to which Lesley said “i’m an officer so really it doesn’t work like that, he salutes me! :D ” YES MA’AM!!!! :D Get it girl!

Lesley + Josh, we love ya’ll and can’t wait for the wedding! It’s sure to be a riot! :D :D

{2 awesome and 9}

In a word, it’s the only way I can describe this year. It shaped up to be a phenomenol year.

At the beginning of 2009, to be honest, I was worried. I wondered if I was going to be able to produce the kind of work that so many people trusted me to create, I worried about how I was going to keep business going, I worried about whether or not I was going to be able to do it all, while working full time and still manage to make our house a home.

I have been reflecting on 2009 for the past few weeks, and I feel such a strange and wonderful mix of happiness, blessed, humbled, surprised, excited, flattered, and many other emotions of the positive variety. My clients this year were, in a word, wonderful. Just absolutely wonderful. I don’t know many things, but what I do know is that the people I have been so privileged to work with are the ones that put my worries at ease. It’s because they are the ones that remind me why I do what I do.

It was a wonderful year. As I watched this slideshow I am again reminded of how beautiful 2010 will be, and how much we are looking forward to meeting new people and making new lifelong friends. :)

Melanie + James are just too cute for words.
I continue to be humbled everyday by the sweet words from our clients and from others. Melanie was so excited to work with both of us, and the feeling was totally mutual. :D We love love love it when clients are so excited about their wedding and trust us to capture it in print!
Melanie’s personality and smile is totally infectious and she was so excited and bouncing up and down the whole time during the shoot. James is more reserved and is such a great guy, he totally balances out their happy duo in every way, and together, they are totally made for each other. :D

Let’s start this out with a favorite, shall we? :D

We started out at Maclay Gardens in Tallahassee. One of the most awesome-totally-rad things about our clients is that they trust us implicitly. It had just rained that day, and I brought along my wellies {just in case} we had to trek through any mud. We came upon spot where it was almost totally marsh, and Melanie + James didn’t bat an eye when I asked them to lay down in the mud (of course, we had plastic bags to put beneath them so they wouldn’t get all muddy. Genius, right?

Darts, anyone? ;) Those carny guys really know how to get you hooked. I think James spent $20 on that pink pig. But it was so sweet!!

{be jolly by golly}

The little nip in the air is telling me that the holiday season is just around the corner again. :D

That means it’s time to brew some hot apple cider, plan holiday parties, spend time with loved ones, and start sending out some Christmas cheer!

I can hardly wait until end of November when I can start sending out my Christmas cards. I love these cards- they are so festive! We’re sending out the “turtle doves” one this year so be on the lookout in your mailbox! :D

If you would like to order some Christmas cards, please email me or call to place your order. Deadline for card orders this year is December 1, 2009.

Matthew + Carly Sneak Peek!

Matthew + Carly are two people that are incredibly special to us. We had the pleasure of hanging out with them all afternoon on Saturday and we shot them to pieces. :)
Here is a little something to wet your appetite…

A little dandelion blowing. Made me chuckle. :D
